Düsseldorf, August 29th 2009

For the very first time in the history of the Iranian Community in Germany, representatives of numerous democratic/non-party groups joined forces in an open alliance. Its aim is to found UNITED4IRAN Germany.

But the first step is to plan mutual actions for September 23^rd in Germany. On this very day the Iranian murderer Ahmadinejad wants to speak in front of the UN in New York.

Representatives from more than 15 towns in Germany came together with the leading ambassadors of the UNITED4IRAN organisation of the United States of America. Firuzeh Mahmoudi and Hadi Ghaemi expressed their gratitude to all partners for the enormous support at the Global-Day on July 25^th 2009. Together the way has been cleaned for a German alliance - UNITED4IRAN Germany.

In the light of the well-known violation of basic and human rights, oppression, imprisonment of demonstrators, arbitrary acts by the authorities, harassment and intimidation of citizens by the powers in Iran, the movement tries to support the resistance movement in Iran by raising political awareness, organizing and executing protests.  

The movement in Germany consists of free and mature people, which partly come from Iran and from Germany. It is independent from parties and does not belong to a politically, religious or ideological faction.

Jointly the movement stands up for the implementation of a real democratic system, which esteems and guarantees the right of every single citizen. The movement declares its solidarity with the oppressed Iranian people and tries to carry their cries into the wide world by actions and indefatigable activities. Everybody, Iranians living abroad and Germans, are requested to join respective groups and associations in the particular towns for jointly uncovering the protests of the Iranian people in the networked world and to support them in their aims. The Iranian people shall know that its aspiration for freedom and democracy is heard abroad.
